Skill Development & Building
Lacrosse IQ
One thing that was very clear after our summer and fall seasons was that we need to focus even more on individual skill development, and help our players increase their
understanding of the game they play and love! Every practice will begin with direct position work for each player. Players will focus on drills and be taught different aspects of their position. We will then focus on team drills that can help increase the understanding of the game. This is where every drill will focus on a different aspect or multiple aspects of in game situations. By pulling these situations out and highlighting them, we can hopefully fill in the lacrosse knowledge gaps that many of our players still have. All of this will build into scrimmages and full field situations. Having players go right into game situations without proper preparation is foolish and we will do everything we can to have our players ready for any and all in game situations they might face.
LCRAC Partnership
Our partnership with Lexington Country Recreation & Aging Commission from this summer will continue through the fall season.
We are very grateful for their help and commitment to growing lacrosse in the Lexington and Columbia area! We have access
to great facilities, player insurance, and other necessary things needed for our program to exist as it does in it’s non profit state. All registrations will be handled through their website just like this past summer. Please check our website at sites.google.com/view/lakemonsterslc for updates and registration info. You can also connect with us
on all three main social media platforms for current and up to date info.
