Part-Time & Seasonal Positions

After School Counselor
Batesburg-Leesville Leisure Center
Part-time position. M-F, 1-6 pm. Counselors are required to plan and implement activities under the direction of the After School Director. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma. Applicants must pass a national background check. Submit completed applications to Wendy Binion or at the Batesburg-Leesville Leisure Center.

Canteen Staff
Pine Grove Sports Complex is actively seeking canteen staff for weekends. Responsibilities include operating a cash register, food preparation, and excellent customer service. Please contact Carrie Lyons.

Front Desk Staff
Barr Road Sports Complex
Part-time position.  Responsible for greeting and assisting the public.  Must be able to answer questions in person and on the phone, distribute information, process registrations, and perform other office and facility related tasks.  Job involves supervising events and tournaments, and working the canteen.  You must be able to move equipment up to 50 lbs.  Hours will generally be nights and weekends.  Applicants must have a high school diploma.  Submit applications in person at the Barr Road Sports Complex or email them to Mr. Jess Sowell.

Front Desk Staff
Batesburg-Leesville Leisure Center
Part-time position. 25-29 hours/week. M-F 12:30-6pm.  Responsibilities include greeting customers, answering phone calls, distributing information, processing payments, light cleaning duties, and other various tasks.  Must be able to lift chairs and tables.  Applicants must be 18 years old and have a high school diploma.  To apply submit completed applications to Kristie Weed at the Batesburg-Leesville Leisure Center.

Part-time position. 20-25 hours/week. Full-Time Positions

Plumber
Maintenance Department
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum Education - High School Diploma or GED and vocational/technical school training in plumbing.
Minimum Qualification -   3 to 5 years of experience in plumbing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Certified Journeyman Plumber license helpful.  Applicants must possess a valid SC Driver’s License and be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Description:
Under limited supervision, performs a variety of maintenance related jobs to include:  repair and replacement of plumbing fixtures and systems which includes faucets, toilets, water coolers, water heaters and valves, irrigation systems and water hydrants.  Must be able to work in all weather conditions.  Work involves bending and lifting up to 75 pounds.  May be required to work weekends and nights as needed.

HVAC Mechanic
Maintenance Department
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED
Minimum Qualifcation: 6 months trade related experience and/or technical school
Must possess a valid SC Drivers' license and be able to pass a background check and drug screening
Description:
Under the general supervision, performs a variety of maintenance related jobs to include: assisting HVAC technician with repairs to refrigeration, air conditioning, electric motors, heating units, heat pumps, hermetic compressors, light commercial furnaces, burners, intake and exhaust fans, and ice machines. Must have good communication skills. May be required to work weekdays and nights as needed.

Grounds Crew
Maintenance Department
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum Education - High School Diploma or GED
Minimum Qualification - Prefer previous experience with lawn care and/or building maintenance. 
Applicants must possess a valid SC Driver’s License (Class B License helpful) and be able to pass a background check and drug screening. 
Description:
Under general supervision, performs a variety of maintenance related jobs to include:  turf care, landscaping, litter control, janitorial tasks, and preventative maintenance on buildings, equipment, and vehicles as needed.  Must be able to work in all weather conditions.  Work involves bending, heights, and lifting up to 75 pounds.  May be required to work weekends and nights as needed.
