The Lexington County Recreation & Aging Commission is committed to improving the quality of life for all citizens through creative and meaningful life-enriching experiences.

In 2011, LCRAC created a holiday season event that we affectionately named Project Warmth.  We raised enough money to distribute 827 fleece blankets to seniors throughout Lexington County.  In 2012, we distributed 1,476 scarves to seniors throughout the Midlands.  In 2013, we distributed over 2,200 pairs of gloves, in 2014, we distributed 1,174 blankets, and in 2015, 843 blankets to seniors throughout Lexington County and the Midlands.  In 2016 we were able to purchase over 1000 blankets!
Since 2016, we have continued to deliver warmth each holiday season thanks to your generous donations.

This year we would like to provide our seniors in Lexington County, as well as surrounding counties if possible, with warm fuzzy blankets again.  To make this happen, we need donations.  We are asking local businesses and community members to assist us.  Both monetary donations as well as new blanket donations are being accepted.  You can donate online or at select LCRAC facilities. 100% of monetary donations received will go to the purchase of new blankets!
