In an effort to stem the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Lexington County Recreation & Aging Commission will suspend the following activities, programs and special events:
- All youth and adult sports activities will be suspended through April 4th. This includes all practices, games, tournaments and rentals.
- All facility rentals through April 4th.
- All after school programs will close and remain closed through the public school closure ordered by the Governor.
- All programs, classes and facility rentals within the leisure centers will be suspended through April 4th.
- All leisure centers and gymnasiums will be closed to the public through April 4th.
- All senior centers and the congregate meal program will be suspended until March 31st. Home delivered “Meals on Wheels” will operate on normal schedule.
- At this time, wellness centers (Batesburg-Leesville, Lexington, Tri-City and Cayce Tennis & Fitness Center) will remain open until further notice. The only indoor walking track remaining open will be at Tri-City Leisure Center.
The Lexington County Recreation and Aging Commission will continue to constantly monitor this evolving situation. We will reevaluate the health situation prior to April 4th and then decide appropriate recommendations for either resuming, starting or further delaying activities, programs and rentals.
