Our Services
For information on receiving services call 356 - 5111.

Meals on Wheels
Home-delivered meals are delivered to individuals who are 60 or older, homebound, and/or unable to prepare a meal or transport themselves to a meal site. This service is dependent on volunteers who deliver the meals to homes during lunch hours on weekdays. Our Meals on Wheels Sites are located in our seven Senior Centers.

Home Care
Home Care assistance with personal care, activities of daily living for the frail, homebound elderly.

Legal Aid
Legal Aid is available to Seniors for non-criminal legal services such as living wills, powers of attorney, trusts and some estate matters.

Medical Escort
Transportation is available for Seniors to and from medical appoint-ments. This service works on an appointment basis.

Medi-Loan Closet
The medi-loan closet allows Seniors to use our available medical equipment (walkers, wheelchairs, etc.) at no charge. This service is reliant upon equipment donations. We appreciate all donations.

Nutrition Sites
Daily weekday congregate meals are offered at our seven nutrition sites located in our Senior Centers. The meals are available to those 60 years and older. Transportation is available to the sites for those individuals that qualify. Call (803) 356-5111 for more information on transportation.

Volunteer Services
Volunteers are needed to support many of the programs and services that we offer. Meals on Wheels, special events, Christmas in Lexington County (a one day blitz to fix up homes of the elderly), handyman services, the annual Meals March Fundraiser (benefits the Meals on Wheels Program) and Senior Center Programs all need the time and energy of those who are willing to lend a helping hand. For more information about volunteering call 356-5111 and ask for Cherlyn Porter.

Classic Times
The Classic Times is the Aging Programs quarterly newsletter. It includes the programming opportunities available at the seven Senior Centers and current information concerning the Aging Program's Service operation. To receive a copy, use the registration form to get on the mailing list.
