The Lexington County Recreation & Aging Commission is proud to host a variety of special events.  Some of our events are seasonal while others are project oriented.  These events are for the community and can be enjoyed by individuals, couples and families.  Come check us out and join in the fun!

Friday, March 19th, 2010 Indian River Golf Course, West Columbia SC 18 Hole Stroke Play Tournament Check in at 8:00am. Shot gun start at 9:00am Includes continental breakfast, green fees, cart, tshirt, door prizes   & buffet lunch provided by Park Lane Seafood.

   A one day blitz to repair and improve the homes of the frail, homebound, low-income elderly. Its purpse is to make the home safer to allow the homeowner to remain independent for as long as possible.
   We can do common repairs that will make the home safer and/or more secure. We can replace broken windows, insulate around windows & doors, install locks and smoke alarms, replace and rebuild front steps, paint inside and/or outside, yard clean-up and trash removal.
   Frail, homebound, low-income elderly persons who own their own home and have no family members living with them or in the area who can not perform these repairs will be eligible.
   Businesses around the county have given food, materials, and monetary donations that help support this program. Without their support and the support of the volunteers Christmas in Lexington County Could not be a reality!
