Skyline vs. Clear Creek

Thanks to those of you who braved the weather to watch the kids play. This is the second year in a row that I've had a team play on Opening Night and I have to say that I've enjoyed watching the fireworks both years after the game. The excitement of playing on opening night got the best of us last night, but we got a preview of what our hitting can do.
First off, I wanted to let everyone know that Coach Nolan is fine after trying to catch the ball with his nose last night. I spoke to him after the game and he did suffer a broken nose but seemed to be okay. He was more interested on how we did after he left.
We had some hiccups on defense and pitching which I will chalk up to opening day nerves. It happens to every ball player boys so don't be hard on yourselves about the loss last night. We have plenty of baseball left to play, and practices to get the kinks out. That's all I have say in regards to the loss.
I do want to give a big shout out to Javin Beeks, Owen Pincell, and Mason Anderson for the bombs they hit last night. I liked the potential our team showed last night and now that we've got that first game out of the way we can settle down, have fun, and win some games. I think we proved we ARE the team to beat this year.

Special thanks to Angie Heal, Andrew Kiracofe's Mom for the photo.

We play these guys again on Monday boys Lets show 'em what were made of!!!
